NSA whistleblower and U.S. most wanted fugitive, Edward Snowden, received a job offer from the top of the social networking site VKontakte in Russia, within few hours after the country offered temporary asylum.
"We invite Edward to St. Petersburg and we will be happy if you decide to join our stellar team of programmers VKontakte" said company founder Pavel Durov in a post VKontakte. "At the end of the day, there is no European company most popular Internet VK. Believe that Edward would be interested in protecting the personal data of our millions of users."
Snowden was stuck in a Moscow airport for about 40 days, because the U.S. revoked his passport. Finally he was allowed to enter the city on Thursday after the Russian government offered temporary asylum for a year and newspapers also allowed to work in the country.
